My heart is open
My spirit is full,
I feel no pain
Just the moon’s pull.
I joined all my old friends
In this special place,
Resting my weary body
Upon this beautiful space.
I had to leave
My body knew the signs,
So please remember me
And all the good times.
I’m never far away
You can still see my smile,
And know that I can see yours
Across the many miles.
Until we meet again
I’ll be watching over you,
Just like you did for me
Always standing strong and true.
So I bid you farewell
For now it seems,
And I’ll see you one day
And forever in your dreams
